A focused WordPress one-pager built in April 2026 to introduce USA TODAY Great American Tailgate under USA TODAY sponsorship, explain the event quickly, and move visitors toward ticket purchase without overbuilding a larger campaign platform.
Project overview
USA TODAY Great American Tailgate needed a clean launch presence for an event continuing under USA TODAY sponsorship. The initial plan was broader, with a five-page structure, but the final scope tightened into a focused one-page campaign site: event story, branded visuals, key details, calls to action, and ticket paths in one fast pass.
RTW built the site as a custom WordPress implementation with a campaign-first UI, Figma-guided visual direction, adapted content modules, responsive sections, and a video-led hero. The goal was not to turn the project into a heavy platform; it was to make the event feel credible, current, and easy to act on.
The build also includes Forminator-based lead capture and the same five-layer security hardening approach used on other RTW WordPress event builds: server configuration and PHP-level protections added without relying on a bulky security plugin stack.
