A taxonomy is a structure or system for grouping similar things together. The Linnean system that classifies living things by Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species is one example.
WordPress taxonomy allows you to organize your content through categories and tags. You can choose to display these taxonomies in your blog’s sidebar.
